This is my first time out, so it’s not perfection, but I think I did okay. I didn’t particularly care about making a screen-accurate mask, instead taking the details I liked from throughout the franchise.
Shout-out to youtuber Big Hush, whose tutorials I loosely followed in the process.
Process:
1. Steel brush
2. Cut out pt. 3 axe hit with scissors.
3. Scrape Mortal Kombat slash through left eyehole.
4. Almond spraypaint
5. Chemically age fasteners (white vinegar, salt, peroxide). This came out pretty subtle due to the fasteners being stainless.
6. Crudely stenciled on chevron with markers and colored pencils, for a faded/aged effect
7. Repeatedly and violently assault mask with knives, doors, and scissors.
8. Touch-ups with a lighter.
